Dixon May Fair

We stayed one night after a visit later in the day to the UC Davis Veterinary Hospital (about 8 miles East). $40, FHU, 50 amp, 2 bars Verizon LTE. There are about 15+ sites here at the Dixon Fairgrounds. Nicely spaced, flat, gravel with some fruit trees between and a large grassy area across. Great place to stop and take care of business. Staff is fantastic. If you come in on the weekend bring cash. The host will only accept cash. On the weekdays the office is open and can register you with no problems. It’s a no thrills place but safe and close to town. No reservations needed, first come first serve.

There were only a few other campers here and there is a great big field for throwing the ball for the dogs. We walked leashed throughout the fairgrounds to go to the bathroom and then finished off with some great ball throwing for them. Groceries and shopping really close. Cannot say enough about the excellent staff at the Dixon May Fair RV Park. The ground are exceptionally clean, the hookups in great condition and the location is great for walking, hitting downtown or seeing the area.

It's much more comfortable than I was expecting, having only driven through Dixon 400 times.
The grounds are really Great for walking dogs.

It was a great stopping point on our way home to Reno from Stanford.
Hookups are good and clean. NO wifi, so no streaming those rodeo movies here.
