This is dry camping, although water is available at various spigots throughout the campground. Surprisingly, we got something of cell service here on Verizon. It is only about a mile and a half off of 191, with easy access. Just beyond is the national forest, were I think the camping is free.

Beautiful views, clean, level, and exceptional site amenities for dry camping! Check out the fire pits and grill stands. Day trips to Mesa Verde & the Needles are doable from here. There is a little hi-way noise, didn’t bother us at all 🤗

We stayed here Sept. 12 after a very long day of driving and hiking. We drove from south of Torrey and visited Capitol Reef NP, Glen Canyon, and Natural Bridges National Monument. We were thinking of staying in an RV park in Blanding, but couldn't bring ourselves to pay so much to stay side by side other RV's, so we journeyed on and even though this was off the main road a bit, it was well worth the drive. We had a beautiful site with hamburgers we cooked over a campfire and a full moon. A beautiful night I will not forget! The pictures say it all!

We stayed in site 14 with a 40 ft Class A towing a Jeep and had plenty of room in the pull through site. There are no hook-ups bug there is an outhouse, and dumpster for your trash. ATT service was strong and we were able to stream a Movie. You could hear some traffic from the highway which is about a mile away, but it was very minimal and infrequent. There were some bees in the area that were attracted to the vinegar/water solution we used to clean our windshield.

Arriving at midnight was no problem- the gate was open and I paid in the morning. They do not accept to “Annual” national parks pass, so it is the full $10 per night unless you have the senior pass or access pass. Water was not turned on for the season as of my stay on May 9. Flat spots, picnic table and fire ring. I stayed in loop B, and there was a lot of space and privacy between sites. There is a mountain bike/ ohv trail, but it was rainy and muddy so I didn’t ride.

Our 40 ft fifth wheel fit easily in site 5 and would have fit in several others. Many sites are reservable on Rec.gov so you have to watch the site tags to avoid reserved sites.

Very nice campground located right off the highway, but far enough back to be quiet thanks to the towering pine trees. Sites are level and clean with a concrete pad that contains a nice picnic table and firepit. Well maintained and clean campground.
