Since this is a NFS campground, you should always check with the local Forest Service office if you have concerns about bears. They will have the most current information.

I say no - it’s to close to highway plus a lot of people have dogs. The loop to the right would be safer it’s more open.

We didn't see any when we camped there, but I'm not sure beyond that.
