Most campsites are right on the water. All have electric a few have water. Great for boating, kids, dogs, hiking nearby. Quiet, good sized lots.

This quickly became our favorite COE campground. It’s over the peninsula, with huge sites. Our site, 32 was a pull through, overlooking the lake with an easy access to walk to the water. Our site has water & electric hookups. The oppressive heat was made bearable due to the windy days.

Most of the sites have water and electric; all on the island gave a great view of lake and many are directly adjacent to the lake. Baby geese are swimming all around. Saw bald eagles at the dam overlook area. Pretty nice hike trail near the entrance. Lake is clear with blue tint that changes color in different light. One nice modern bath house with flush toilets showers and multiple other vault toilets locations. We had site 27 which had a few trees which we liked. I think it was the best but many were really great sites. Eureka Springs was a little less exciting than what we expected but quaint and probably just right for many. You should come with fishing gear and water sport equipment and even scuba equipment if that is an interest. Apparently they have trout , walleye, bass, and crappie in the lake.

Some sites have water and power. Others have power with only a community spigot. Be careful when booking! The only reason we don’t give 5 stars is because their dump station is not in the campground but across the highway. It’s very doable but inconvenient.

We loved our stay there. We would have stayed longer but couldn’t get more nights. We moved to the river campground and it was very nice too.

Granted, the weather was certainly threatening but nobody was officiating at the entrance gate so we went ahead and set up camp before the deluge to come. Our site #22 was at the very end of the island and right on the water. Good if you want privacy, bad if you have threatening weather, which we did. Tornado warnings all around us from mid afternoon all through the night into the early morning. And the big Beaver Lake churned with strong winds and waves. Pretty scary. This is a pretty park in very hilly topography. Coming in from the northwest on Hwy 62 and Hwy 187 there were tight turns and plenty of twenty MPH warning curves.
The reason we decided to camp at this park was its proximity to Eureka Springs, a small and charming historic town I hadn’t visited in over forty years but I wanted my wife to see for the first time. I hoped it had not changed as much as other special places I had known previously in my lifetime and I was not disappointed. Probably the only instance when something lived up to the hype I gave it. She was very impressed with its charm and beauty and definitely wants to return.
Army Corps of Engineer campgrounds are generally top notch. Lately we have run into a few less than up-to-snuff facilities as we traveled through Mississippi and Arkansas on our way to St. Louis for a family function. Hard to complain however when we pay half price totaling $11 per night. Electric service is provided on site with the occasional shared water spigot scattered around the campground. The dump station is up across from Beaver Park Road which leads into Dam Site Lake Campground. All the sites have the typically nice picnic table with the gabled roof cover, except for ours which most likely was blown into the lake at one time or another and the Corps decided it wasn’t worth replacing. One restroom with showers, clean, fairly new, and plenty of hot water. AT&T service was one bar up to the occasional two bars. Enough for the Nighthawk to provide internet TV streaming and phone service.

Eureka Springs town is so quaint small roads there too & hard to find a parking spot. Some great eats in town Cute houses built into the side of the mountains with natural springs.
We went to Eureka Springs park it's pretty doesn't take much time to go thru it. The water is cold. Lots of Butterflies and beautiful flowers. Also went to Pivot rock it was ok.
The campground was quiet except for 1 night people decided to party, laugh so loud & over talk each other starting at 1 am ended at 3:30 am. I should have gotten up at 6 & made a ton of noise but I didn't. They do allow clotheslines so hope you don't mind looking at everyone's clothes & towels. There was a family reunion across from us they had a lot of laundry hanging.

The campground is about twenty minutes from the pretty and artsy town of Eureka Springs with lots of shops and restaurants. This is a great area for hiking, biking and fishing and there are lots of other interesting sights nearby.
The park has showers and restrooms, fresh water and a dump station. It's nice enough to just hang out and enjoy the quiet.
