Lots of areas to camp. Some required a little higher clearance than others. TMobile 3bars 3G. Nice and quiet beside occasional ATVs.

The sites along FR 185 allow for tons of fun. They are near enough to Pinetop-Lakeside you can enjoy the restaurant and shops, but also have a multiuse trail system within walking distance. The trails allow hiking, biking and horseback riding. No camping at trailhead.
FR 185 is will maintained and graded. It is gated, but was open for the winter season. There are two main camping areas along the road near the trails. The first is the first fork on the right. This turns to a large, pull-through camping area with a single fire ring. This is in part shade and could accommodate any sized rig. A well positioned solar rig would be able to charge. 4X4 would be needed during mud season, but the rest of the year the ground is packed enough for safety.
The second significant camping area is the first left. It is smaller than the one above and would fit a smaller rig easily. The first part is a pull through and then the spur ends in a small very shaded site. No solar opportunities here, but it is very cool and peaceful. Again, area can be muddy after snow melt.
We received 3 bars of Verizon 4G at the first fork with 3.17 megabit download and 4.5 megabit upload. The area had no AT&T coverage.
