“Great Off-Highway Spot for the Overnighter!”

Good access to the little Blue River by a bend in the road. Fair amount of road noise, but the elevation of the campsite means you can only see the tops of the 18 wheelers' stacks. Pretty busy river access activity, but no problems with getting in and out. Restrooms on site.

Beautiful campground with plenty of room to spread out. A lot of boating traffic but other than that it’s a 5/5

We camped mid Oct and as a snow storm was hitting the area. We got prob about a foot of snow and our temps dropped to a chilly 7°F. Surprisingly we we're not the only ones there, yet alone not the only tent campers. We took up the 5 spot, and it is only 6 spots really. Except for the last spot that thankfully was never occupied while we were there. The sites were all very well spaced out. Ours and the one right next to us had really well rock pits built by prior campers.
There was several easy ways to get down to the river as well. Locals came each morning, just about, to walk their dogs there.
