Upon our arrival, we were disappointed. The check in area (living quarters?) is an eyesore. We had reserved a site that the website map suggested had a water view. None did. Getting level on our grass site took a bit of effort on my part, but we pulled it off. Utilities at our back-in site were so far back that it required several lengths of sewer hoses. Without that, it put us too close to the fire pit for my comfort. (This would not have been the case in some of the other sites.) Having said that, once we adjusted our expectations, we were quite pleased with the facility. It’s not waterfront, but a beautiful meadow. And it has great internet! Felt pretty good about the park until, just as we were leaving, my wife decided to use one of the parks public toilets. She was disgusted.

We stayed for 3 nights in our 38’ Super C + TOAD while we explored the Redwood Coast. Great location, easy on/off Hwy 101. Big Rig friendly - which is a plus a some of the other places nearby had narrow roads or sharp turns a large rig would not be able to navigate. I personally think it’s the best place to stay in the Klamath location (as we saw all of them during our stay). This location is also down and away from the highway so you don’t hear the road noise when sitting outside your rig. Come prepared with groceries as there isn’t really anything nearby (maybe a gas station food mart at the next exit). Bathrooms were very clean (showers could have been bigger) there are three with a laundry mat in a portable trailer. Laundry wasn’t used by us but it was clean and equipped with a change machine. Two handicap accessible showers in a permanent bathroom building were in addition to the trailer ones. We used the showers in the portable trailer, while super clean (and warm, each had a heating unit) they need more hooks or shelving to hold your things - one hook just doesn’t work well for me! They also need some type of absorbent mat on the floor outside the shower, it would be extremely helpful.
Large “oval” grass field (your sites are on the grass); half of it used for back in sites (there were no pull through here as advertised). Additional back in sites around the perimeter. They have corn hole, horse shoes and a volleyball net (w/balls) available for use. Access to the Klamath river is down a dirt path (lined with blackberry bushes); boat “ramp” is also dirt into the river. Could be used for things easily launched/carried to the river bank.
Hook ups for the site were good; no issues there. Picnic table & fire pit also provided. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

This was our first stop on our RV life on the road. This place made it easy for us to love this life. We loved the quiet and spacious room for our dog. We had the camp almost all to ourselves. Thank you for being such great hosts!
