It also has a large area for cleaning fish. The views are beautiful. The sites are small but totally fine. Bathrooms and laundry are clean and well maintained. Be aware that some reviews state Verizon and AT&T have service. They do not. The WiFi in the park is very slow too. However, Starlink is blazing fast and the sites have a clear view of the sky. I would return here in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at Golden Bear on the Klamath River. I originally booked a site that would have been ok, but front row is best. Melissa and Lisa were great at putting us in a prime site. Also, our fellow campers were all nice as well. They were friendly, nice and very accommodating. We will be back when we’re up in this area again.

The bathrooms and laundry facilities were clean, which is always a plus. The park is extremely convenient to access redwood national and state parks, the beach, and crescent city. The park has starlink, which worked very well and it was so nice to have reliable Wi-Fi, since most places skip on that. We would definitely return if we’re in the area again!

We enjoyed our one night at Golden Bear RV Park. It was a convenient location and so picturesque. We were backed up to the river and had an amazing sunset. Would stay there again!

I really enjoyed my stay here and would happily have stayed longer. I can see why people book month-long stays for the sites along the river! I would too! Our site was not on the river (and there is no river access, which almost had me knock off a star), but it is lovely nonetheless. There was enough space for people to put up gazebos between the RV’s, and it was nice and sunny (except when the lovely fog rolled by). There are a lot of “regulars” that come to stay here during the fishing season. They all seem to know each other and are very friendly. No generators and no campfires—perhaps that’s why this place was wonderfully quiet!! The showers were clean, free, and hot. The laundry was only $2 for the wash and $1 for the dryer and worked great. The rec room looked nice—big TV, dvd’s, books, and apparently Sun-Thursday is cards night. It was FHU (which it should be for the price) and the starlink was excellent and free. Camphosts were so nice! There are two doggie areas at either end of the park and they have poop bags there too. Not a whole lot of places to walk our dog though (we REALLY wanted to get to the river, but only people who rent the river sites are allowed. The only other negative was the bright lights from the office that shone into my bedroom window at night. They didn’t really need to be that bright or at least should be angled more downwards. I would happily stay again, though I think I would pay more for a river site and get it for a month. :-)
Oh, I should also mention they don’t want you parking on grass, but everybody parks their vehicle (tow or towed) because there is no other room for it to fit.

The bathrooms, laundry, landscaping. I backed up to the river, opened my windows and drank in the view while I worked. It was the quietest campground I've stayed at and I appreciated it! Just down the road is the least expensive place I'd found to fill my fuel tank too! Don't miss taking in the Klamath River viewpoint 2 miles away while you're in the area.
My verizon did not work well in this area (despite having 3 bars!) but this campground now has Starlink and it worked like a dream! Fastest internet I've had on the road post-covid.

Space is a little tight, tow vehicles are often parking on the grass or another empty spot. On the river, hookups are on the wrong side, which is somewhat annoying since that places the sewer (and anyone elses spillover) right in your path to walk up. That said, still an awesome place!

Stayed here 3 nights to explore the northern and southern parts of Redwoods National Park. Check-in was fun with the sisters who run the front desk. If you have a dog, expect a mandatory dog meet-n-greet with these dog lovers! Overall, the park is well maintained. The pull-thrus are narrow making it difficult to stay off the nicely manicured lawn. My wife gave the laundry room a thumbs-up. The best part is the Klamath River running past the entire campground. There is a forested peninsula on the other side that was enshrouded in fog each morning. So beautiful. The docks had not been put out yet. There is a fish cleaning station by the office. Per current rules, you can wash your RV using environmentally friendly cleaning solutions. That was so welcome given a month's worth of bugs on the front of our trailer. There is a bit of road noise, but not much at night.

Friendly, easy check in. We had pre-paid for our site. When we arrived we needed to get some laundry done. Walked into the laundry room (three washers, three dryers) to find all BRAND NEW washers and dryers. $2 to wash, $1 to dry. After I dropped off the laundry 🧺 I walked over to the men’s room. Nice and clean, new flooring, paint, counters.
It appears the new owners are investing in the property. There’s still some painting that needs to be done but you can tell there is pride of ownership. The Riverside FHU site on a level asphalt pad worked for us.
