I would advise, strongly, against staying at this RV park. We only stayed one night and one of our bikes was stolen! We did not get to choose our site. Instead we were placed near the entrance in an open space- one of the closest and most visible sites from the very open and unprotected entrance. This RV park is right off 101. Someone obviously was in the RV camp, saw our bike (locked on a bike rack on our rv)and came back for it later. Easy access (zero deterrents- no fencing or adequate lighting, no security gates, or any security cameras whatsoever ). This is the first place we’ve stayed where there was no fence, gate ect… to prevent just anyone from coming and going. People came in and out all day that we’re definitely not staying at the RV park. I felt uneasy from the moment we got here. I wish I had followed my instinct. The way it was dealt with just confirmed my uneasy feeling about the place. The son of the owner made no effort to make things right. He made us feel like he was doing us a favor by reimbursing us the money for the remaining 3 nights we paid for even though we were leaving (obviously)- and only did so after we asked for our money back. He did not offer to help in any way. He didn’t even ask us what would help us feel safe going forward or how the park could make sure this would not happen again. He refused to reimburse us for the night we did stay and had the bike stolen on their property (while locked up) in a site he made us take with zero protection, just feet away from a wide open entrance with no security. Zero help as we spent the whole day filing a police report, insurance and packing up. Over all he was suspiciously aloof about it all. He did not show the concern one might expect from someone running a business that depends on keeping people safe as they travel. It is unconscionable that he takes money from people for a service that he didn’t deliver and then takes no responsibility for it. The bike that was stolen was the first new bike I had in over 20 years (bought only a month ago). This was the first vacation we’ve taken in over a decade. Our trip was ruined as we scrambled to find somewhere else to stay and deal with the stolen bike (which was a huge part of our vacation plans) This place is shady, don’t stay here!!!!

This was a last minute change for us. We called near closing time and they had spots available. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at this park. Roomy, green and great environment near the Klamath River. We would definitely stay here again. No complaints!

We are a full-time RV family with two kids. We stayed at Camper Corral for one week. It was fine, but if we came through the area again, we'd try to book a spot in Crescent City.
PROS:
- The location is convenient for accessing both Redwoods National Park to the south and Jedediah Smith forest to the north. There are nice beaches nearby.
- The campground is very green: grass, flowers, sculptural driftwood, a thick border of trees. A short trail leads to the river, with a sandy beach to walk. The morning mist over the treetops is beautiful.
- There's a nice barn building with games, a large TV, and a pizza kitchen.
- RV sites were well maintained and had mature trees, picnic tables and fire pits.
CONS:
- There are a lot of folks here who live here full-time, which gives it a different feel than places that are just for travelers.
- The Wifi here is almost nonexistent, and seems very weak throughout the area. That won't matter to everybody, but it's a problem for us because my partner works remotely and has to do a lot of video meetings. Our phones and Verizon hotspot didn't get a strong signal here either. We eventually found one indie bookstore/cafe in town with good Wifi, but for a few days my partner drove to Crescent City to connect for work, and traffic due to landslide construction (common on Hwy 101) meant the drive could be up to 90 minutes each way.
- There is just not much town to this town. Klamath is tiny and rural.
- The pool is small and old and was still closed in late June.
- There weren't enough washers and dryers. Four of each, I think, but it was a wait both times we did laundry.
NEUTRAL:
- The playground is rustic and small—a tiny wooden fort, swings, a pile of tractor tires—but it has a charm and was filled with toads the kids loved catching. :)

Pulled in and got a nice reception and escort to our site. Quiet area. But had a lot of RVs so it us a busy place. We were able to take advantage of their full hookups and able to do 3 loads of laundry. We are clean, rested, filled up and ready to head on our way.

Check in was quick and simple since we had reservations. They lead us to our site and told us to enjoy our stay. This campground is very family friendly and that was great since we brought one of our grandkids with us. He had a lot of kids to play with.
We would have gave 5 stars but the internet was very bad, so if you need internet this is not the campground for you. We used a booster for the wifi but it made little difference and there was no T-Mobile or AT&T service here. There is a little Verizon signal here and a descent US Cellular coverage. One night there was a group of loud people that stayed up after midnight, but that was only one night. $28 rate was thru Passport America.

We were worried about the noise from the freeway, but it was virtually non existent. The internet was the only negative about staying here. With Verizon and an additional signal booster, we were still experiencing trouble. But we knew that going into it because we research before we stay. The surrounding area made up for the lack of technology. With a half mile walk behind the park, you’re at the Klamath River. Great for nature walks and fishing, especially with small kids. The playground was awesome and my kids loved catching frogs after the rain. We would definitely stay here again, especially in the off season as we practically had the place to ourselves!

The camp manager never wore a mask, nor did he practice social distancing. Additionally, after we arrived, a motor home was parked about two feet from our travel trailer, or “close enough to pass the sugar,” as my husband said. Blatantly ignoring Coronavirus regulations is highly concerning to us, especially when there is a steady influx of young and old people coming in and out of the park. Additionally, the WiFi was horrible - we couldn’t use it at all. The campground itself was nice, clean, and quiet. It’s just too bad the manager doesn’t care about the health of his guests.

Klamath is an excellent location to visit the redwoods, since it is about in the middle of the string of 3 state parks and 1 national park that are cooperatively managed under the banner of Redwoods National and State Parks. It is about 20 miles south of the Jedediah Smith area and about 20 miles north of the national park, so plan to spend a bunch time driving up and down 101 to the various sections. Luckily the tribal-owned gas station about a mile north of the RV park has the best gas prices in the area.
We visited the redwoods in the off season (first week of November) so quite a few RV parks in Klamath were closed for the season. We ended up at Camper's Corral after having terrible experiences at both Chinook and Riverside RV parks, thanks to absent management, no information, and crappy sites. I will post reviews of those separately, but of the several parks we spent time in, Camper's Corral was the most normal. The standards in Klamath generally seem to be below what we would normally want in a private RV park, and we thought Camper's Corral was clearly the best of the bunch.
Sites are mostly grass, but there are some concrete pads which would be really helpful if visiting in the rainy season. There are 100 pull-through sites, and the sites are alternate direction so campers have their sitting areas facing the neighbors. Since there were only 5 other campers during our visit, this was not an issue for us. There are trees in the campground but mostly just lawn between sites, so there is not a ton of privacy, but the sites are wider than we typically see in private RV parks. The pull through sites are also a bit short -- with our trailer up on the concrete pad, our truck poked out the front of the site. Again, given that the campground was mostly empty this was not an issue for us, but might be tougher when the campground is full in the summer. Utilities generally worked fine, though it was strange that the cable TV had no network channels (just CNN/AMC/History/Discovery/etc). There was wifi in the park, and the signal was plenty strong, but it's based on a satellite connection so speeds were not great. That being said, it worked as advertised and was a lifesaver since there is NO service anywhere in Klamath on AT&T. Bathrooms were a bit dated, and the laundry facilities were also pretty tired. The pool was closed for the season during our visit. All my comments seem so down on this park, but the RV park is almost 50 years old and it is just a little out-of-date. Otherwise, it is clean, well-kept, and the most professionally run option in the area at the time we visited.
At Camper's Corral, the owner lives on site and was easy to locate when we arrived. Our price reflects a negotiated price for a week-long stay in off season. While there are a handful of permanent residents, they are located in a different section from the transient campers. It looks like the RV park operates a number of different concessions in summer (selling bait, renting kayaks, etc.) so this place could be a one stop shop for visitors in season. For us, we mainly appreciated the good location for redwoods visits and hands-on management.

Very nice, clean campground right off the interstate. About 15-20 minutes north of the main Redwood National Park spots. If you’re looking for more of the Redwood experience, I’d recommend the state park but there aren’t hookups there.
