Tons of biking and hiking trails. Great lake to boat on, regardless of the size of your boat. There are some large trees in the loops that need to be trimmed, so watch your roofs. Very quiet. You’ll need to buy a Colorado State parks pass, so be aware of that added expense. Reservations are made through the Parks website.

My one and only issue was I was in full sun in D loop, but there are several sites that are shaded. My site was very well maintained and very clean. Plenty of space between sites. Huge park with trails. Good cel service. Great off leash dog park about 15 minutes away. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Winter camping so we were able to get a spot on a Sunday night at 3pm. Showers were open .50 for 3 mins and the laundry area is nice. No soap in the bathrooms which is odd. Lots of deer visited us. Overall a good place to stop over.

Beautiful views and a nice quiet campground within a state park with many other features to explore. Got in at the last minute due to a cancelation, definitely worth the price. Can't find anything else close by Denver with full hookups for anywhere near the price, even factoring in the daily vehicle pass which costs extra.

This park is convenient to the Denver ed Rock amphitheater. There are very few trees so it is hot. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. We had water and electricity hookups. We paid 46 dollars plus an additional 10 dollars for the park pass.

It's a drive to any stores, amenities, etc., but overall a good baseline for Denver area. Variety of hook-up options, and coin-operated laundry onsite was a plus.

This is a great State Park Campground. We were electric only, but they have an easy to use dump station and fresh water fill. Sites are all cement pad pull through in our area. Lots of trails leading off the sites and every area had a playground. Good spacing between sites. Our rate was actually $36.00 but you have to pay upon check in a $10 a day parking fee so it was really $46 for electric only. I would not stay here if you did not need to go into Denver or Red Rocks. You will find better outdoor activities and lakes away from this area.

$41 is reasonable for a full hookup site. We were surprised when they charged an additional $10 to get into the park. The second annoyance occurred when we found that they charge for the showers! This is quite unusual for a state park.
It was a nice site. But we have stayed in other state parks without the annoying extra charges.

Potable water is available throughout campground with RV fill at dump station (included with stay and seasonal). Few mature trees at campsites. Stayed at site 118 right next to a great playground for kids, and poor if you are looking for serenity of nature. Lake is clean, nice, and scenic but overly busy with small/medium sized boats. 3 bar 5G Verizon cell service. Good campsite if you are looking to stay close to Denver and want to stay close to a lake. Comes with the trade off of being noisy and congested.
