Overview of CCC Designated Dispersed Campsite 13
Camping is only allowed at designated campsites in Delaware State Forest. Reservations and permits are required and can be made online or over the phone. Campfires are prohibited from March 1 - May 25 without authorization from the state forest.
Black bears frequent the area. When not in immediate use, all food, beverages, coolers, cooking utensils, pet food, or other attractants must be kept in a closed, hard-sided vehicle or secured in a bear-proof storage container.

Overall Rating
The campsite is set back a short way from a paved road. There is a large grassy area and a small area in the woods where the picnic table and fire ring are located. So you can choose sun or shade. The site was very clean but the picnic table is in need of replacement. A bear and her cub visited our site! There are no trails leaving from the campsite but if you walk a short distance on the paved road you can get to a forest service road which was nice for walking. The only downside was some road noise but generally the road is pretty quiet.
