“Quiet, private, green, with hiking trails nearby”

It’s a bit of a drive to get there, but it was worth it. It was quiet, clean and beautifully green. Pit toilets were stocked with tp and surprisingly not smelly. The sites are numbered, spacious and divided by enough trees for privacy. Good for tenting or camper.

There was also a trail nearby. I took the westernly route toward a shelter that was supposedly 3 1/2 miles down the trail. I got about 1 1/2 miles, to a river crossing and found the trail on the other side, but it became thickly overgrown quickly, so I decided to turn back. Maybe I’m a weeny and it got better soon thereafter, but it was fun anyway.

After a long drive in this campsite feels like heaven. You are camping among some of the most beautiful and pristine old-growth forest I've seen. Definitely the place to go if you want to experience old-grown forests without feeling rushed or like you're surrounded by people trying to do the same thing. Campsites are private with plenty of trees between you and your closest neighbor, small footpaths connect them to each other and to the large creek that runs alongside the length of the campsite. Fire pits at each campsite but you have to wander a bit into the woods to find any worthwhile firewood. Porta potty was super smelly but better than none! Can't wait to return here on my next trip to the Northwest!
