Anyway, it’s a rustic older campground with mature trees. The road is pretty eroded and the sites are a bit tight. There’s some highway noise but it’s not too bad.

The tent sites at the top of the camp are nice, more spread out and private than the lower ones but a bit tight to maneuver a truck in and out of the parking spaces. Nice hot showers and flushing toilets. We loved that it was only 10 minutes from downtown Couer d’Alene where we spent most of our time. Free to use peddle boat and canoes on a first come first served basis are nice right at the base of camp, though we brought and used our own paddle boards. Quiet hours 10pm-7am. Our last night, we were woken up at 3am with a new group outside a cabin drinking and laughing the night away. Management didn’t seem to care - a bit frustrating that some people aren’t mindful of other campers when you’re in a tight campground.

Camp Coeur d'Alene has a good location on a quiet back water of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Unfortunately the spaces are EXTREMELY tight making it difficult to back-in to a site. The spaces really need some fresh gravel to cover the dirt which becomes mud when it rains, which it did when we were there in August. Firewood is free so everyone has a fire in their fire-ring but with such tight spaces the smoke drifts into the neighboring RV at all hours of the day and night. There is a pool which is great for families, and the access to the water inlet from Lake Coeur d'Alene means that those with a canoe or kayak can have fun paddling around. The septic system was not working when we were there so no ability to dump tanks (they did lower the normal nightly rate as a result) . All in all I give this 2 stars for mud, very cramped spaces and too expensive for what you get. Won't be going back.

Pulled into this campground after reading the reviews because we needed a pull through for one night and there are no other options. After arriving, we are told we have to back down the driveway in order to get enough room for our truck and trailer to negotiate the pull through. Really? This is the kind of info that is extremely important BEFORE arriving.
The sites are so crammed together that the slideouts from the neighbors left barely enough room for us to pull in and park. Site was not level, the septic was not working, the bathrooms are old and not clean. If you can possibly find another option, take it.

My only complaint is that the sites are very closed to one another and you are literally on top of your neighbor. Made us not want to hang outside the trailer because of the lack of privacy.

Just way to close when you can sit inside your Rv and hear your neighbors conversation just outside your window. We’ve stayed in over 80 Rv parks in the last 2 years and this was our worst experience yet. Would not recommend or go back. If you have a smaller Rv then choose a back in site so you can have some privacy. There are plenty of other Rv parks around to choose from. Don’t forget your bug spray with marsh being so close.

Yes, the sites are tight. We had a neighbor on one side and empty site on the other side so not too bad for us. We feel the beauty of the campground as well as the surrounding area was worth being in the tight spot. And the whole Coeur d'Alene area is beautiful! The staff was great and they offer free firewood! Yes, we would stay again.

Don’t do it. Not worth $78.00 per night no weekly rate… biggest rip off the next RV is 5ft away. I don’t know they have the balls to charge this much.

Stayed here for just one night in site 45. Tons of room for Sprinter van, site was clean, bathrooms were clean, a little pricey but that includes free firewood and free showers. They have a pool but wasn't open yet. I would stay again. Can hear a bit of noise from the interstate but not a concern. There was good cell service.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel and parked in site 39, PT, FHU site for $60/night. Road and sites were gravel. Sites were tiered up a hillside so some had a little bit of a slope to them. The CG is laid out like a U with the pull through sites in the middle and back in sites around the edges. There were two pull through sites on each tier with the entry from opposite directions and the hookups in the middle making for close quarters. The narrowness of the site meant that my picnic table was fairly far from the fire pit. I did not check out the bathrooms or laundry. There is a little store for basics. Lots of activities around the park. I think this has one of the nicest lake front areas I have seen – the tent spots are down there and are very nicely laid out. They have a game area, patio, canoes (free), and free firewood! Wifi was weak, Verizon had 2 bars, didn’t check OTA channels. They did have a full recycling station which I appreciate. Overall it is a nice park. A bit on the expensive side, but they do provide a number of amenities. It is close to some nice hiking.

Our pull through spot was narrow and awkward, barely able to get our motorhome in with only room at the back of the coach if we wanted to be outside. Unleashed dogs and noisy neighbors well past quiet time. We paid in advance for 5 nights but there was no way we could stay after the first night. Not that we were interested but the complimentary paddle boats (2) and kayak is limited to a marsh.

The camp grounds are beautiful and very clean. Beautiful being right on the water and plenty of hiking close by equals a well-rounded mini vacation. The camp is also an easy drive to downtown Coeur d'alene and the many restaurants and retail shops. The new camp hosts/managers are very accommodating and are doing a wonderful job updating the camp. We’ll definitely be back!

After checking in we went down to the water where we had free use of their paddle boats. It was a great way for my kids to get out their wiggles after the car ride. That night we made a fire in the fire pit, with firewood that they provided! We are excited to come back next year as the new owners are making renovations to make our experience even better. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the facility was very clean and comfortable.

The pool is filled with green slimey water, smells like a swamp. They said nothing about not having ANY water pressure at the rv sites when we checked in, a discount would have been appropriate. They have free firewood, should sell it at $2 bundle so they can fix the pump. This could be a terrific spot away fom the road.
