Overall Rating
CG is located 2 miles off paved road. First you drive through a camping resort, then the road becomes a one lane gravel road with pull offs for the remainder of the drive.
The CG had waster and pit toilets. The grounds and facilities were clean. The sites are rather small, but there were only 3 other campers there during our stay on a weekday. Looks like many backpackers use the camp to prepare for multi-day hikes into the wilderness. A trailhead and parking for Sapphire lake are adjacent to the campground.
Also a river along the CH for swimming and fishing.
