We visited in March, so the store and office was still closed for the season. (Opening April 15.) It was a spring commissioning trip for a new (to us) motorhome, so we chose a place not too far away from our home base. The descent into the gorge was steep and winding, but by shifting down and taking it slow, we had no trouble at all. Our reservation was posted on a board outside the office, and a friendly gentleman came over to as if we needed help getting to our site. Campsites are divided into two different areas. We are in the older section with 30 Amp power, water and sewer. The newer section, which is just a bit to the east has 50 Amp service.
There is a marina, boat launch, swimming beach (for warmer days ahead) and a shoreside paved trail that leads to the base of Lower Granite Dam. We plan to follow the trail Westward in the morning. The view is wonderful. The place is incredibly peaceful this time of year. And, there is a wonderful "pirate ship" jungle gym for the kids. I would have loved it sixty years ago!
Definitely a nice spot. We don't consider it all that remote, although it is certainly NOT a place to come if you need cell service!

This is a lovely KOA set right along the Snake River near the Lower Granite Dam. Very well kept up park - exceptionally clean, with a well stocked camp store and small restaurant. They even had a band playing classic rock tunes down by the beachfront along the river on Saturday evening during our stay.
As others have noted, this park is REMOTE. Pullman and Colfax are each over 20 miles away, and access to the park is via a long, winding, and steep road that is used in the later summer by large trucks carrying wheat down to the nearby port along the river.
This is a great place if you like to fish or to really get away from it all for a couple of days. Would stay here again, but only if I've downloaded a season or two of a favorite program off of Netflix first.
*Not a whisper* of AT&T cell phone service until you are a mile outside of Pullman.
We stayed here in our 30' motorhome while dropping our daughter off at Washington State University in Pullman.

Great place to get away from everyday life and disconnect. We stayed on site 50. Great view of swimming area, river, hillsides and plenty of grass area. We had FHU with 50A service.
Sites 49-61 are in the “Central Park “ area. Less mature tress(less shade) but appears to be newer area, more level sites. Also seems to be more area between sites then sites 1-28.
Picnic tables are stout with clean fire pits on our arrival. Like others have said make sure you have all your food before getting to Boyer park. Pullman is a ways to get to the grocery store.
Also found out little cafe doesn’t open up till May 1st
Don’t count on WiFi to do anything of significance. Verizon Cell is also very limited.

Everyone was super friendly and we were even able to order pizza and have it DELIVERED to our campsite by park hosts! We will definitely be coming here again! The only downfall was the internet access and cell service was pretty bad. That may not matter to you, but my husband has to work remotely quite often and ended up driving to pullman so that he could get his work done.

The sites are fairly small, and back in sites would be dicey with a longer rig. However, the vegetation between sites made for a lovely woodsy, private experience. A huge stern wheeler went by while we were there. I can imagine spending several days there walking, cycling, boating, etc.
