Boulder Forks Fishing Access site is an unimproved location on the Boulder River 16 miles SE of Big Timber, MT. The scenery of the Boulder Valley is "classic Montana". This stretch of the Boulder is a fly fisherman's dream.

You are a long way from civilization, but a short way from company and a good meal and drink. "Holly's Road Kill Saloon and Restaurant" is about 2 miles up the road. Don't worry. This doesn't indicate civilization. Some how this place survives as a lone building in the "middle of no were". It caters to local ranchers, fishermen and hunters.

The site has a pit toilet, but no water or facilities. There are 6-8 spots where you can pull in an RV or park a Travel Trailer.

The 1/4 mile road into the Fishing Access is good gravel, but the track along the river to most of the camping sites is a dodgy dirt track. I had to be VERY careful pulling my trailer around some deep ruts and depressions.

This is a popular spot for fly fishermen and can be full, especially on weekends.
