This was our first trip in our new pop up and this was a great spot for it. Close to the road so there is some noise but it was pretty minimal after 10:00p. The views and sunset were great and being close to the water was a lot of fun for my 2yo son to play around. We were in spot T03 and while it was pretty close to T02, I never heard them. All in all a great stay.

Overall Rating
We had dry camping site T06 in Big Thompson Campground, right on the water. Potable water is available as you enter the campground. Our son camped with us, plenty of room for his tent and Jeep. We had a nice picnic table, fire pit and there was a vault toilet close by.
We have a Starlink so had great internet connection.
Dogs are permitted and there are hiking trails nearby.
Carter Lake Marina has essentials you may need and is only a short drive away. We didn't use them but across from the marina are bath houses with showers.
The site itself was $25/night and had to pay a park entrance fee of $10/vehicle/day as well. There is a dump station at Carter Lake that is free of charge.
We camped at Carter Lake in a Fifth Wheel.
