Campground is across from Marina store and boat area. It has vault toilets year round and also showers open during season. You will need a Larimer County day pass or annual on top of campsite fee. My MetroPCS on T-Mobile was at 1 bar and somewhat functional. Functional enough to get a call that woke me up anyway. Nice folks at the office which is where you need to check in if you don't reserve online. It's called the Larimer County Administrative Bldg and it's on the same main road going to the reservoir but it's about 2 miles north of the campground.

*the Eagle Campground is the best out of all the crappy sites
*South Shore Campground has NO trees
*”Camp Hosts” were “off duty” for the entire 3 days that we were here
*No cell service...which was an issue when we had problems with crazy campers that wouldn’t leave our site and no hosts to help us
*The only Camp store closes at 5!
Don’t waste your money here!!

Horrible experience here especially for the price of almost $50/night when you account for all the fees like their daily pass fee etc.
There’s no office or anything really as you come in, no dump station, no water, no nothing. However the map of the park clearly indicates a water source next to our site.
After setting up I go connect my hose to said water source just to find the camp host of all people has his trailer hooked up to it, no splitter or anything. Trying to be nice I go ask him if we can fill up our tanks, he says no and claims that’s HIS water.
He makes us tear down everything, hookup our rig again (all this in the cold rain mind you) drive up some steep muddy hill with our large trailer to get water off some water fountain that has absolutely no pressure.
This ends up causing a big traffic mess because we are blocking traffic trying to get water at this ridiculous source all the while camp host is riding around in his cart chatting up the regulars no giving a dolly squat about the mess he has created.
What should of taken 15 min took hours and could of even caused accidents because some camp host took it upon himself to deem the only legitimate water source in the loop “his”.
Would never stay here again and will definitely advise others to avoid this park.

Great little campground close to carter lake. Electric at all sites which is very nice. Since the elevation is low. Around 6000feet you will need air conditioning during the day in the summer. Sites electric will accommodate. A short walk across the street will get you to the marina. You can rent a boat or fish from shore. Close to Denver which makes it busy on weekends. But weekdays are perfect. I added pictures of all the sites which are very nice. They are labeled “good RV site”. A few have nice views of the lake from above.
Mike would stay here again
