We arrived at night and found a few spots open, we opted for 8 as it was close to the toilets and had a better view of the river nearby.
Really pretty area when we awoke.
There was no way to leave money and the sign said that someone in uniform would come and see us.
Just as we were packing up, the host drove by and took payment.
No reduction in price for NP annual passes - only for seniors apparently.
The vault toilets were clean.
Bear boxes, fire pit and picnic table.
The pitch was clean and very little rubbish around.
It's quite a way past aspen camp - keep going, you'll get there!
The only reason I didn't give 5 for noise was due to the camper behind playing music and partying - thankfully they did stop by 11pm.
Callie would stay here again

We stayed here actually a couple of years ago and should have written the review then. If you like to fish, watch others who do, listen to the water rush by, or just enjoy the quiet of the trees and the forest, then this is your place. Sooo much nicer than the National Park at Yosemite, or June Lake area. Commutable (when Tioga Pass is open) to the park and all the 5 star attractions, but a quiet secluded place at the end of the day away from the crowds. Nicest camp hosts you would want to meet - Judy and Gary. First day we were there, Gary asked if we liked trout and did we fish. Our answer was yes, we like trout, but no we really don't carry gear to fish. About an hour later he showed up with 3 beauties still flopping in the basket. I had NO IDEA how to clean, much less kill a live trout! Most of our camping neighbors were avid fishermen, so we offered the pick of the litter to a camper next to us if he would clean them. That night we enjoyed the best fresh fish ever. Worth a stop even if you don't fish. Several sites right on the water.
