“Great spot when passing through”
Reviewed Jun 22, 2017
Great spot for 1 or 2 nights when passing through. It was badly flooded 2 months ago and has just reopened. The bathroom got washed away so for now there are only port-a-potties. You can see where the water came to the top of the picnic shelter because there are sticks and debrie stuck in the rafters, also, the signs are twisted and leaning over. The electricity has been restored to most of the sites and the water hookups are working. This is a lush green, quiet, little park with large shade trees, next to a popular fishing spot on the river. The sites are level gravel. Nice history in this little town with great antique shops. We had a wonderful lunch at the Angels on Route 66 Cafe. Tip: The park is on the west side of the bridge directly across the street from the Kiwanis park. Cleanliness only marked lower due to still has some trash from flooding. Dump station is available but not well marked because the sign is twisted and bent over.
