Atlanta West Campground

We were glad that we could stay here because it was only seven miles from where we needed to go. The electric worked and the water did as well. That being said, it was very run down. Our site was strewn with litter and after opening the bathroom door I decided not to enter. There was one small light bulb, a strong smell, and piles of leaves in the front corner. So I guess if you are desperate, it’s fine. Strongly consider other options first.

Where to start? Okay glass half full...it is located only 20 minutes from downtown Atlanta and 10 minutes from Six Flags Over Georgia.

It looks like the beginning of a horror movie, it is very run down. The paved roads are crumbling on the sides and riddled with pot holes. Sites are not level. All buildings are falling apart, bathroom stalls do not have doors, light fixtures falling off the walls. Fence around the pool is collapsed. Laundry room has 3 different types of walls and the machines are very old. I think you get the picture, no need to go on. Written by Amy
