Airport Cove Dispersed Camping

Drive-by review! We checked out this spot while staying at nearby Carp Cove. The road in is a little bit bumpier than the road to Carp Cove and the view isn't as fantastic from the campsite, though it has better access to the water.

You'll have to drive about 20 miles of dirt road to get here. The last 5 are the hardest (bumpy, steep and sometimes narrow). Don't come at night. Oh, and max length is probably 25 feet, though if you're crazy like us, you could probably squeeze in a 27 foot trailer - but don't take my word for it, scout before you tow your rig in.

Check the weather before coming. You want to avoid being here in the rain since it's quite sandy and looks like you could easily get stuck. Don't come here if you don't have 4WD.

This is a great backup campsite if Carp Cove is occupied.
