I don’t write a lot of reviews, but this campground is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a year and a half of full time travel. This campground has seen its better days. I don’t write a lot of reviews, but this campground is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a year and a half of full time travel. This campground has seen its better days. The grounds are old and many sites overgrown, picnic tables broken. There are some seasonal spots that are completely covered in “stuff” from junk to pottery to who knows. WiFi is NON Existent. And they’re response is: “oh well, you’re in the Smokey Mountains”. No cell service for T-Mobile. There are no “premium” sites - as all are old and run down. Don’t waste your money. Many pull through sites are actually in better shape than those that back up to a creek- but cost less.
The worst part is the staff, especially management. They are unwelcoming and rude, and do not have any sense of professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend this campground to an enemy. There are many other fantastic campgrounds in the area that are more worthy of your camping dollars.

We only needed a electric only site for our camper van, so we selected one right by the back side of the stream. There was a few dogs barking excessively at times. We only needed a electric only site for our camper van, so we selected one right by the back side of the stream. There was a few dogs barking excessively at times. Park office couldn’t help us since they were across the stream on tribal land. We were quoted two different rates when we first stopped in, luckily they gave us the lower one when we booked (46). We did have Sam’s card. In the ten sites on this part there was no one else staying. Rest of campgrounds in town were pretty trashy or closed, we checked most of them.

Labor Day weekend and our first time with a camper. Every campsite was taken but it was a great experience. Check in was smooth, they had plenty of escorts to take show you to your campsite. You have to cross a bridge to all the campsites, there’s a heavy stream running on both sides so made for some great white noise to sleep or drown... more

Our first camping experience as a family didn’t start out well. Our truck broke down, and we were stranded on the road 6 miles from the campground with spotty cell service. Our first camping experience as a family didn’t start out well. Our truck broke down, and we were stranded on the road 6 miles from the campground with spotty cell service. One of the staff members pulled our camper to our campsite that evening, while another staff member let us stay in their camper until our camper arrived. The staff kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We have a new vacation family now! Thank you to the Happy Holiday staff for the best vacation of our lives!!!!! We will definitely return soon!

We came down for our anniversary. We were at site number 2. It was awesome. We had a concrete pad at this site. (Not all sites have them) The creek was very loud and relaxing.
