"One of the more scenic parks in the country"

We come to photograph the colorful rocks. 1 bar of Verizon service may be available for text or voice in the park, but NO data. You can get 4 bars of 1X at the east entrance which is good for data.

"Poor"

We had stayed here 12 years ago and for returned for the memories. The memories were soiled. Very popular family place with lots of smokey fires. Two bars of 1x cell coverage if you have an amp and then poor data connection.

Nothing to add to the reviews already posted. Great place to chill out. We thought Horse Prairie was best for us. Only a few gravel spots with ramada's and no grass parking like at some of the other sites. We thought that would limit the the... Read more

One of the best campgrounds. Scenic, on a backwater of the Missouri. Excellent bathrooms. A few too many kids, but not really a problem.

Has several loops. Gravel and paved pads. Good showers. Boat ramp. All network channels picked up. We would pick one of the other campgrounds on the lake as this was was very family orientated. Kids everywhere. Lots of traffic.

Has several loops. Gravel pads under spreading trees and lush grass. Good showers. Boat ramp. All network channels picked up, but CBS was weak.

Note, rate shown is for a Electric site. We paid $17 half-price + $7 for electric. Hardin Ridge is a huge FS CG - over 200 sites on Lake Monroe. It’s a COE lake so nothing but a boat ramp is on the water. We are nestled in the trees. The water... Read more

"Quiet, lake nearby"

It’s pricey for Forest Service, but one of the better concession operated campgrounds. $16 for the site, plus $10 for electricity gets you on site water, a dump and three bars of LTE. Most of the sites are level enough for a MH that does not have... Read more

There are two campgrounds, Clifty which we were told was for pop-ups. The other one, Ridgeline, is for larger pop-ups. Our 26 MH would be pressed to fit into any of the level sites and we passed on those with a steep incline. Can’t think of a... Read more
