Overall Rating
Very well maintained park with great amenities. Wide, easy pull through sites, super friendly staff and an awesome dog run for pets. We even enjoyed the small putting green once the sun set and the heat dropped. This was a fantastic stop along the way from Texas to CA. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip.

We stayed here for two nights prior to getting our RV serviced in phoenix. The park had everything you could want and was so clean. The owner was really nice and you can tell he cares about the park. Despite being in the desert, there was hardly any dust (and it was WINDY) because the owner put tons of gravel down to minimize dust and sand. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m in the area.

What a nice campground. Huge sites, great amenities, and friendly service. We took our rig out for the first time to check everything out. This was the perfect place. What a nice campground. Huge sites, great amenities, and friendly service. We took our rig out for the first time to check everything out. This was the perfect place. Level, huge sites with great hook-ups. Wifi was usable for surfing and email. Our dog LOVED the dog park that included three areas , two with grass. She hasn't been on grass for months and she was so happy.
There's not much in Gila Bend, so get your groceries before you arrive. We stopped for lunch at the Spaceship Restaurant. Fun atmosphere and good burgers.
A little noise from the factory across the road and the train, but not enough to bother us or keep us awake at night.

We made our reservation sorta last minute, and we're glad we landed here! If you want to be close to a grocery store or a Lowe's, prepare for a 45-minute drive. And the occasional bomber jet provides some background noise! Otherwise this park is a dream. Desert camping can mean dust dust dust, but not at Sonoran Desert RV. The owners have done all they can to minimize the dust by laying down TONS of gravel and rock. Desert camping can mean dust dust dust, but not at Sonoran Desert RV. The owners have done all they can to minimize the dust by laying down TONS of gravel and rock. The whole campground is well laid out with wide roads and lots of pull through sites that are HUGE. We were in an overnight section, the 600's, and parking couldn't be any easier. You have full hookups and your neighbor is a bit close but not to the point that you can hear them talking. We have two little dogs and we really appreciated the care they took to make dogs comfortable. No burrs from taking them walking, and actually made a grassy, shady dog park which is unheard of in our Southwest travels thus far. The bathrooms and laundry rooms were spotless, prices for laundry not bad. Cable tv is available and worked! The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is the lack of amenities attached to the campground itself. Note the local IGA has closed - nearest grocery store is either south to Ajo, or north to Buckeye. The staff and owners are friendly and they run a tight ship. Highly recommend if you are going through this area.

Outstanding RV Park. Owner and Staff are absolutely great, they are respectful and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Every part of this park is exceptionally clean, and the sites are large. So, what sets this park apart… There is a nice dog park but there is an indoor dog wash AND a pet memorial rock garden. There is a fully working laundry at reasonable price, but there is an outdoor patio with comfy furniture and clothes lines and clothes pins supplied too. You can wash your RV at your site, but there is a separate area with a cement pad for vehicle washing. For those staying for longer periods of time, they have set aside the first Monday of the month as “Maintenance Monday” to exercise generators and have posted a list of other items everyone should check to keep your rig in good working order. Who does this???
And the humor, Scott (owner) keeps the mood lite throughout the park. Outside the Ranch House is “Solitary Confinement for spouses that need a timeout”. Or having dog park corrals for “Non-Social Dogs and/or Their Non-Social Owners”. The various events are fun too, glad I went.
What I am trying to say is that they tried to think of everything and are open to suggestions too. If you are in the area, this is THE place to stay.
