Spaces were pretty level & easy to get into tree wise, electricity functioned well, minimal bugs, nice views & trails, dog friendly, well kept. I’ve seen a few comments about the train & traffic & we couldn’t hear it at all. Spaces were pretty level & easy to get into tree wise, electricity functioned well, minimal bugs, nice views & trails, dog friendly, well kept. I’ve seen a few comments about the train & traffic & we couldn’t hear it at all. We did have some questions prior to arrival & had a hard time getting through - calling right when they open seemed to be the trick. A state park pass is required, which you can quickly get online. Unstaffed at 4pm & check in is at 4pm so be sure you know where you’re going & such. Easy in & out of Fargo. Would definitely return.

$42 rate (for electric) includes mandatory online reservation fee but does not include mandatory $7 a day park pass. All sites must be booked online .I believe same day booking is allowed. I would say 35 foot RV would be the max. Nice walking path through the prairie. North and West end of the outside electric loop would have the best prairie views. Sites are gravel and pretty level. Quiet park with occasional train 1.5 miles away. Decent dump station. Gas and food 5 miles either way.

This campground (CG) was easy to find. Because it was a Tuesday during the off-season, the check-in gate was not open, so we proceeded back to site 24, which was electric only (50/30/20 AMP) for our two-night stay. This campground (CG) was easy to find. Because it was a Tuesday during the off-season, the check-in gate was not open, so we proceeded back to site 24, which was electric only (50/30/20 AMP) for our two-night stay. This small state park has many trees, but with the road being wide enough, the trees weren't in the way, and with no ditch this was an easy back-in. The sites here are also nicely spaced. A park ranger came by later and gave us our post and vehicle tags. There was highway and train noise. There are mature trees in the CG, but we were able to get enough north sky for Starlink. On Verizon, we got 3 bars. There is potable water at the dump station, which is at the park entrance. The shower/restroom facility was in good shape and clean. We enjoyed the trails, some interpretative, around this state park. As the nights were cooler, we opened our bedroom windows and noticed that trains ran almost continuously through the night. Overall, we had a good visit and would consider staying here again.

Great sites with shade and quiet. Clean well kept level site 50 amp electric fire rings and space to enjoy it restrooms and showers were clean, full recycling area for disposal of all waste. Very nice place to visit and I hope to see it again soon.

clean and comfortable site. the restrooms/showers are well kept. sounds of the highway are only audible in the morning, from what we noticed. we would visit again and take advantage of all the local trails.

Decent little state park. Electric worked. Some large trees on edge of RV circle. Path to river (which is very low due to drought) near tent sites. Showers and Restrooms clean. Do make sure you know your site number as the staff isn’t there past 4?

Overall Rating
This is a small campground with small sites. Our 34’ rig just fit into the site. Not to mention that we had to change sites due to low hanging trees.
Campsite parking area mostly dirt, grass and a little gravel.
At one time this was probably a nice campground but really needs some TLC and updating.

Quiet campsite, great trails with excellent signage, beautiful prairie. It was unfortunate that the pool was closed but like a lot of places there are not enough lifeguards. Very nice bathhouse!
