This park is quite nice with level campsites, clean bathrooms, pretty lake and it was relatively quiet over a weekend even though the park was almost full. We camped in a class B.

We used this campground as an overnight stop to our next destination. We didn’t have much time to explore it.
Overall check in was easy, site was clean and basic. Little privacy between sites.

Camp store had good hours, but the wood we bought was VERY green, so much so that we struggled to keep our fire lit. Seriously I think they must’ve just felled the trees for it last week.
Campers beach was small for the number of people who wanted to use it. Hiking trails were ok, nothing spectacular. Would have appreciated more multi-use trails for biking; most of our bike time was spent on the road.
Wish they would’ve offered kayak rentals. Would have loved to get out on the reservoir but we didn’t have the equipment.

The best part of our stay, however, were the campground hosts--Sandy, Terry and Jonathan. They were friendly and helpful. Sandy, especially recommended activities and gave us a tour of the naturalist's trail. We will be back just to spend time with these people. They have great ideas about how to make the park nicer--I hope ODNR listens.

Not a bad spot for one night. I was driving through and was willing to pay for a spot in order to get a quieter night that a rest area or wallyworld but that was only partly successful. I stayed at site 10 which is electric w a view of the lake. The bathrooms were clean and there’s also laundry facilities in the same building which I didn’t use but that area looked clean and well maintained as well. As mentioned in other reviews, the signage to get to the park is pretty much nonexistent. Without GPS i wouldn’t have found it. Like a lot of turns with maybe every 3rd or 4th turn having at most a small, faded sign. For a weekday in November there was a ridiculous amount of traffic after 10p including loud cars rolling through at 3-4 a.m. There were only a few sites occupied in my loop so these weren’t fellow campers, just random people cruising through well after closing time. If I was gonna be driving through the area again I’d probably try the Clark county fairgrounds instead. I picked the state park thinking there’d be some sort of security or oversight but I never saw any indication of an on-site presence by park staff which given the remote area wasn’t that comforting.

I arrived without reservations, not a good thing. All sites must be reserved prior to occupancy. Easy enough to do on reserve Ohio.com. The park was well maintained but signage left something to be desired. We had a good night very quiet.

When I checked in there was no Registration booth and this is where it went bad. With no one at the "gates", anyone cruises into the campground. 8am and motorcycles woke everyone up with the revving of engines. At night you feel like a zoo animal as people drive in and stare. I could watch them drive in and out of several loops then leave so they weren't fellow campers. MAX of 3 cars per site but no one stopped that either. Never saw a park ranger or cleaning crew. Neighbors were also pretty upset and said they wouldn't be back either.

No water hook ups here. Just electric in most.
Wash house left a lot to be desired. No fans to dry it out and the floor was wet and puddled. All the time. Ladies was dirty too. So bad that I decided to take a rare “no shower” day. Mens apparently was average.
Spacious sites with grassy areas. Our site was lucky to have partial tree shade.
Quiet for our stay as it was right after the July 4th holiday. Everyone had mostly gone.

The wildlife abound as we came across various birds, deer, baby fox, groundhogs, and a couple of ticks that wanted help us during our set up/tear-down process. We enjoyed walking the ADA trail and seeing all the wild spring blossoms in bloom. The disk golf course was very popular on a beautiful Friday evening and a lot of fun to play. It could use a little TLC and a map or two posted along the course. We stayed in the small non-electric loop, in site 117. It was very quiet as we were one of four sites filled over the course of two nights.
