I've paid $40 + this week to stay in two different campgrounds that were basically just gravel/dust pits. Walmart came through for me this night. I parked far back in the lot and my side van door opened onto a grassy area. I needed to restock some supplies and buy a new pair of flip flops and so just walked in and got what I needed. Ve... more
I've paid $40 + this week to stay in two different campgrounds that were basically just gravel/dust pits. Walmart came through for me this night. I parked far back in the lot and my side van door opened onto a grassy area. I needed to restock some supplies and buy a new pair of flip flops and so just walked in and got what I needed. Verizon signal was adequate to run my Nomad Wifi. I have solar and water on board, so I was set.
It did get crowded around 9:00 p.m. and many bigger rigs and pull behinds were jockeying for position, but shoretly after 9:30, everyone settled in and it was quite peaceful.
I think every fast food restaurant known to mankind was within a 3 block radius.
You can't go wrong with nice, quiet, safe and FREE!

Overall Rating
Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. We got our oil changed here and the auto care center was great. There is a Walmart liquor store inside the store in the grocery section. Lots of road noise from the interstate to be expected but parking lot was quiet without disturbance at night.

Pretty standard Walmart parking lot. Multiple RVs and a few semis in the back of the lot. We came here because we needed AT&T service during the day. I'm not sure what happened within the past few years, but AT&T seems to be non-existent throughout the city. I did have 5 bars of "voice only", but when I tried to make a phone call it... more

It's a Walmart parking lot. Not much else to say. The lot is not very level. It was a bit crowded in the middle of August, I guess 20 other rigs or so and several semis. It was pretty noisy there - there's lot of parked semi trucks around. No AT&T service. There's is a Starbucks in the SW corner of the lot and the wifi was really good ... more

It was pretty noisy there - there's lot of parked semi trucks around. No AT&T service. There's is a Starbucks in the SW corner of the lot and the wifi was really good there. Despite the reviews here, we weren't able to connect to Starbucks wifi in our camper.

What can you say. It's a parking lot. There are quite a few places to eat nearby and a Sinclair gas station across the street. There is a lot of parking in what was referred to as the back lot, but it is in the front of store farthest away from it.

Listen, it is a walmart parking lot. I came expecting a parking lot with a dozen RVs and there were about 2 dozen. Excellent Verizon and lots of fast food options for breakfast. Lots of trucks bit the noisy one was the douche in the monster Class A running his generator all night, it is 1am currently. I moved and problem solved.

We arrived at 4 and by 7 there were 2 dozen rv’s and semi’s in the parking lot. There are signs for “No Trucks” in the parking lot but they aren’t enforced. Not sure if we just hit it on a busy night or if it’s always this way but buy earplugs because trucks are in & out all night.

My first Walmart! The area seems to be pretty nice and feels safe. We parked and went to dinner and shopping. Lots of room for rigs to spread out and still not be close to the store front as they ask you not to be. We parked store front all the way in the back of the parking lot. Next to a nice grassy area to take our dogs and the Starbucks is within walking distance in the morning. They even have garbage cans all the way back here.
