Best place with 5 sheltered, elevated, gravel spots, with electrical outlets and a bench. There are 3 others spaces just on the ground, with no shelter, but trees area and has an electrical post. There is also a grill and sheltered wash station...

A hidden gem. I stayed on the south loop down by the cliffs. Small but nice lake. Plenty of open spaces and privacy. Nice facilities. Windy, but kept all the bugs away.
Road is really difficult to navigate if you don’t have something more like a 4x4. Higher clearance would help a lot. Right on the river, right off the highway, but not highly traveled. The river noise drowns most sound. Little to no Verizon data....

As for the campground: groomed and flawlessly maintained. Beautiful views overlooking Phoenix lights at night.
As for the experience with the camp host du jour:
We came in around 9pm. No one was at the gate. We did not see where the campground...
