“I think it's the Best Park in The Area”

Reviewed Apr 12, 2017

Overall Rating

We were running from the Tornados and Hail, and headed to Alpine for a safe area. This RV Park was very nice. Sites were very rough gravel, but pretty level, if there is one thing they can improve on, it's the gravel, they need a few trucks of finer gravel . The site had good power and water. The Bathrooms and showers were super clean,... more

“Very clean, well maintained private campground in an excellent location to explore surrounding area (Alpine, Davis Mountain, Marfa, etc) and to stock up before/after Big Bend. ”

Reviewed Mar 13, 2017

Overall Rating

We stayed two nights at Lost Alaskan after nearly 3 weeks dry camping around Big Bend. All RV sites are FHU with a choice of 30 or 50 amp and there is a tenting area. Sites are adequately spaced with trees to provide some shade, but no privacy between sites. The staff are very helpful and the facilities are immaculate. Fairly large lau... more

“Price Change”

Reviewed Mar 05, 2017

Overall Rating

Was quoted a discount price for a club membership when making reservation. Arrived and was told there are no discounts in March as the local college is in recess; what that has to do with an RV park in the middle of no where is beyond me.

Facilities are nice. Easy in and out.

“Convenient campground to several places in West Texas ”

Reviewed Feb 12, 2017

Overall Rating

Management was pretty strict but the grounds and facilities were impeccable. Don't fill up your propane here because they charge per tank not per gallon which they told us was standard in Texas (after they filled ours up for about $20/5 gallon tank). Check out the Big Bend Brewery not far from town. And the Davis Mountains. More plac... more

“Very good private c/g, well maintained and managed north of town.”

Reviewed Mar 27, 2016

Well run park with tight management that keeps the park well functioning. Sites are clean, laundry room is clean and adequate sized, same for showers and bathrooms. There is a seperate site for washing vehicles (a nice touch), but they do charge for this option. There is fenced dog play areawith hydrants and scoop shovels for use by ... more

“Nice park, convenient location for west Texas”

Reviewed May 19, 2015

Overall Rating

Alpine is 30 minutes away from Marathon, Marfa, and Fort Davis, so it is a central location for all the little west Texas towns. This seems to be the nicest park in town. It's on the north edge, but it wasn't a bad bike ride into downtown. The workcampers checking us in were extremely nice and helpful. The cg actually gives you mints a... more
