The rest area was definitely busy! I pulled in around 10pm (on a Friday night) and took the second to last spot for auto parking. But, it was quiet and the perfect location to access the Redwoods. Bathrooms were clean.

Great spot for access to Rainier. Although its a campground, the sites are secluded and feel very private. The spot i stayed in (and many others) was right on the creek and had a great view. The sound of the water was enough ti drown out all else.... Read more

I stayed in May '21 during the winter season still. The campground was free, I'm assuming because its the off season. The site had a table, fire ring, tent pad and food storage. There were pit toilets and lake access. One of my favorite sites yet.
