Stayed on 11/11/23 for a single night stay on our way south. Originally planned to stay near Hannibal, MO but all camping areas were closed for the season, ended up taking a detour here and we absolutely loved it. The gravel road to the site was smooth and only took about half a mile off the main highway. The site consists of a large black top with plenty of parking spaces and a small boat ramp. The site sits right off the Mississippi river and we were delighted to wake up to the sounds of barges coming down the river. No amenities whatsoever but it was perfect for an easy night stay, must not be used frequently as we never saw any other cars or people during the night or in the morning. Overall a quiet and peaceful spot to wake up and enjoy the beauty of the Mississippi with a cup of joe. Would definitely recommend for anyone who needs a quick and secluded spot to stay. 5/5 for what we were looking for, surprised that no one else has left a review this place rocks!
