Overall Rating

Compared to FR 117, the road into this dispersed camping area is a bit more rugged. There are spots that may require some higher clearance. We also encountered numerous downed trees from the winter that we moved from the road.

The first large camping area to the left has several small loops. The sites are nicely shaded and large and most are quite level. There is a field off the first loop that is large enough for unobstructed Starlink view.

Where the road intersects with FR 8577 is a large camping area suitable for a group of rigs. There is plenty of space for large rigs to turn and park.

The area is less popular than the Beehive Spring area so its a great choice if you want a bit more privacy.

We had 2 bars of Verizon 4G in the area and 1 bar of AT&T roaming.
