love the area was there in april the thurd night there was a lighting storm it was hitting jest above the campground the next morning everyone was gone but me and my dog putter if you take the road past the campground about 5 miles there an area where you overlook ceaderville and the serprise valley and walk down inyo a hidden waterfal... more
love the area was there in april the thurd night there was a lighting storm it was hitting jest above the campground the next morning everyone was gone but me and my dog putter if you take the road past the campground about 5 miles there an area where you overlook ceaderville and the serprise valley and walk down inyo a hidden waterfall but you need a car with ground clearance we go back any time were in the area

Very beautiful location. We were there in mid-May and there were NO bugs as reported previously. Not really a "reservoir" - more of a cow pond. Saw some very small fish jumping - but would not call this a fishing destination. Very peaceful! We chose this campsite across the pond from the main section of the campground - not very ... more

Saw some very small fish jumping - but would not call this a fishing destination. Very peaceful! We chose this campsite across the pond from the main section of the campground - not very level. No one else was there when we were there mid-week.

Was such a nice little spot around the other side. dirt road back was in good condition. the bugs were horrible though. so so many mosquitos and flys. would definitely stay here again. loved the quiet beauty of Stough
