Great spot right off the highway. It’s really rocky and bumpy once inside the campground. We have a 20’ Ram Promaster and we couldn’t reach the majority of the campspots. BUT.... if you go straight down toward the lake, there are a couple of places to camp that our rig had no problem getting to. It was gorgeous view with the sunset. Fire pits are by most sites.
We arrived around 5:30p on Tuesday 9/1/20. We could see a couple of other sites taken in the woods (one had a truck that I have no idea how they got there, but they saw some road that I clearly didn’t!). A car camper arrived at sunset at the other spot along the lake. There is another fire pit/ tent spot right on the lake that we only found by walking all the way around the water. Take the road to water, hang a right and walk about 200 feet and you’ll see it. Very secluded spot.
We walked around the lake with the dog (over and around the driftwood). Vault toilets are eh... but functional. No AT&T service.

It's a bit of a free-for-all here, you get in if you can fit in. Rough, rocky area right along the highway on the shore of Snag Lake. Pit toilet. If you're looking for level ground and privacy this probably isn't for you. We did the wonderful hike to nearby Sierra Buttes Lookout and this campground was close-by and made getting on the trail early easy.
