Question about Sawtooth Canyon Campground

Is RV camping only allowed at the 13 campsites with the permanent patio covers or can I boondock off the road at what appears to be established campsites near the rocks? In the video, the trailer is at an established campsite but it doesn't have a permanent patio cover, this is why I am asking.

It’s been a few years since I was there. My recollection was that you can camp in any of the designated campsites. I don’t think all of them had sunshades.

There are marked campsites that do not have the patio covers that you can camp at but you can not camp "off the road" in this area.

Basically anywhere you can fit. Many of the tenters have trailers with ATVs.

Designated camp sites only. Not all the sites have shades. The official sites are numbered.

Camping is restricted to designated sites only. BLM maintains a minimal occupancy to keep the natural environment safe and the already high fire danger at a minimum. We've seen several people drive around the campground many times looking for spots only to leave. Weekends fill up quickly.
