Overview of Riverside West Campground
John Redmond Reservoir offers excellent options for camping, boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking and sightseeing. There are three recreation areas that provide camping and picnicking facilities. These park facilities include individual camping units (table, cooker, fire ring, utility hookups - water and electric), and flush toilets and shower facilities. Other facilities provided include group camping areas, group picnic shelters, and boat launching ramps. There are three additional areas that provide boat launching ramps only.

Overall Rating
I stayed here for 5 days (Sunday through Friday) in late May. I found a nice road biking route over the dam and through the town of Burlington. I also biked around and looked below the dam, I saw many people fishing below the dam. There is a fishing dock in the campground. Most sites also have a metal pavilion over a concrete table. There are some sites that back up to the Neosho River but I wasn't staying at one of those. The showers looked fairly new and were clean.
I had very good cell phone coverage, Verizon. My spot had a pull through and where I was the sites had plenty of extra room between them with the exception of 4,5 and 6 which were pretty close together.
