We paid $2.50 with our golden access pass. We got water in Bishop at the White Mt Ranger station.
We took a great mountain bike ride out of the campground and along Pleasant Valley Dam and up to middle Gorge. No cars allowed aside the dam. We snow shoed up to Lake Sabrina and cross country skied to Rock Creek till they started plowing the road today.
This is convenient for shopping in Bishop and rock climbing in the area. We visited the library in Bishop. They gave us an hour free pass to their internet but a little slow depending on the day and others using it.
It’s a long ride to Mammoth to ski or hike in different weather.
The scenery is spectacular almost 360 degree views of the Sierra and White Mountains.
The Verizon coverage was better at the sites above but still would vary from 2 bars LTE to nothing. ATT was good at 2 bars and LTE
Outdoor Girl would stay here again

Access road could be better. Would be a problem if two Motorhomes towing flat down came together at the part of road which is basically one lane

Pleasant Valley PIT campground is first come/first served dry camping in an old quarry, 14 day limit. We brought our 21 foot camper trailer and had no problem finding a site mid-week. Fair number of climbers staying here as well, not terribly noisy, upper rim campsites have a table and fire pit. The campground is a large circle, so it's easy to pull your trailer through... I wouldn't recommend trying to find a campsite in the darkness/at night, as it'd be pretty difficult. I'd recommend waiting til daylight to try and park a trailer here.

After trying 5 other locations (!) in Bishop, we found Pleasant Valley Pit.
We tried 2 boondocking spots that didn't get cell, then we tried going to Horton Creek but it was closed. THEN we tried the county parks. One was really busy and the other didn't get cell.
Pleasant Valley Pit saved the day. You can only get cell in the upper section. It's no frills, no hookups for just $2 per day.
The sites are far apart and the mountains are beautiful.
My only complaint is that other campers are not cleaning up after their dogs. Come on people!
Aluminarium would stay here again
