Site 48- an elevated location, had beautiful views all around. The clouds were spectacular. Wind kicked up as sun went down, so roll your awning in! Was nice that picnic table, fire pit, garbage dumpster and recycling provided. Perfect overnight for us.

Not sure why anybody would complain about this place, maybe they've never experienced how bad BLM land can be. Beautiful ,clean, and about a dozen other people here and no one next to us...and no problem finding a level spot!

“Beautiful, Clean, Easy Access, Super Cheap”

Great place, very easy to find, incredible clean and interesting features I have never seen any other campsite such as little shared library and extra recycling trash. I loved it and totally recommend it. If someone says otherwise is because they were in the wrong spot.

Trail from the main paved road was bumpy but easily navigable. There were a couple small cars that had made it through.
Cell signal was just ok (Verizon). I have a cell booster antenna that made it much better/usable.

Drove through this armpit of a campground. This is the saddest most awful campground I ever seen. Why would anyone want to stay here.....No thank you.

We are full timers and work on the road. AT&T was decent but not amazing but we could make our 4 zoom calls.
The campgrounds nice but people are clearly here for more than 14+ days.
It’s really close to town and a bunch of amazing hikes!

We loved this campground. It was very quiet. Over 50 sites, but only 6 were occupied. Great scenery and hikes. The road is a bit rough and not very many of the campsites are level, but for the price and the solitude its great. Drove the access road on May 23, and bounced around a lot. Arrived at the plateau and was disappointed as it was just dirt. Not worth the drive - did not stay.

We paid $2.50 with our golden access pass. We got water in Bishop at the White Mt Ranger station.
We took a great mountain bike ride out of the campground and along Pleasant Valley Dam and up to middle Gorge. No cars allowed aside the dam. We snow shoed up to Lake Sabrina and cross country skied to Rock Creek till they started plowing the road today.
This is convenient for shopping in Bishop and rock climbing in the area. We visited the library in Bishop. They gave us an hour free pass to their internet but a little slow depending on the day and others using it.
It’s a long ride to Mammoth to ski or hike in different weather.
The scenery is spectacular almost 360 degree views of the Sierra and White Mountains.
The Verizon coverage was better at the sites above but still would vary from 2 bars LTE to nothing. ATT was good at 2 bars and LTE

Access road could be better. Would be a problem if two Motorhomes towing flat down came together at the part of road which is basically one lane
