Check with the controlling ranger district to see if the road gates are open for the season. If they are, there could still be impassable snow drifts in some areas. Scouting ahead is the only way to know.

If the snow is low enough, the road is gravel and should be accessible. I don't think it will get too muddy. I have stayed on 703B near the cell tower and that is all flat bare rock.
