This is a FAS (fishing access site) with day use, 5 primitive campsites and 4 primitive walk in sites. The fee we paid was based on being an out of state resident with a Montana fishing license. There is a 7 day limit.

It was busy during the day with people launching and using it as a shuttle pickup spot. We were the only ones there on a Tuesday and Wednesday night. It was very quiet, although you could hear some road traffic on the other side of the river, but virtually no highway noise. The railroad tracks were not in operation.

Big rig friendly, but you may want to park in the overflow area at the entrance to do a walk through. Sites were fairly level with a picnic table and fire pit. Our site was a HUGE grassy area with a shade tree.

Very pretty area with the river and rock formations.
