Stopped for the night on our travels west from Minnesota to Medora. My husband found this park on maps & then I found it & checked it out on Campendium. We were 2 motorhomes/4 people traveling together to the Medora Campground to attend a view events-Pitchfork Steak Fondue, Medora Musical, Gospel Brunch, Theodore National Park…. We enjoyed our picnic, campfire, birds chirping & the peacefulness. We were so thankful to find this gem with electricity & water for $20.

I needed a quiet place with hookups to stop for the night as a midway point, and this met all the requirements. Bring your own food and drink and don't plan on seeing anything, because this isn't that town, but, it is a well-maintained park. Be aware, the ladies room has a motion-sensor light that will leave you in the dark after just a few minutes. So hang a shirt or something over it to keep that from happening. Shower is old and funky but clean, with hot water.

Stayed here July of 2022. Simply back in to a number & use a pay envelope in box in front of office (which is on the East side). Electric & water. Dumpster. Didn’t use anything else. Was surprised at how many RVs came in - 4 kind of late. One guy had his giant 5th wheel parked parallel to the signs - basically took up 4 spots 🙄 He ended up moving his truck to open up a spot. Had really nice neighbors to the West of us so all good. Road noise during day & early evening then really quiet in middle of night. A few mosquitos too.

City park with beautiful manicured grounds. Water and electric available. Most are 30 amp but some do have 50 amp. It’s an honor system unless you pay extra fees to rover! This city should be proud of its campground!! IMO, it’s a nice laid out arrangement with all the amenities!!

Suffice to say, I did not go in for a meal and drove down the road for accommodations in a friendlier environment. Such a small place, I would think they would be kinder to visitors adding to their economy.
