Although this spot is way outta the way for most people, it does have its advantages. Elevation is over 8000 feet which means - pine trees (shade), views (night sky and valley below) and altitude (coolest place for miles). The trailhead for Telescope Peak starts at this camp and it is quite a FULL DAY hike for anyone attempting this trek. This Campground is accessible via long dirt road and it does close annually for snow.
