The only reason my husband went to the casino was to say we were there and say we were going to stay the night. Even being free it is still good to go and check with someone at the desk. When you go into the lot the area for free camping is at the end/bottom of the lot, it was a little off putting as there was trash and dog droppings all over the grass area, we did not even try to find the water source, which was in a concrete hole. It was free and the only reason we stayed was we had some mechanical issues that needed to be addressed.

There was no obligation to gamble. Not sure if they are currently operating though. We have looked into staying at other casinos during the pandemic and if the casino is shut down typically the free camping is also. So you may want to call ahead before planning to stay there. Good luck!
