“Good Layover”

Reviewed Jun 02, 2019

Overall Rating

We stopped here for a layover on our way to Tahoe area. The place makes for a good start but I wouldn’t stay here for more than a night. We approached with no reservation and had no problem parking our 45 foot fifth wheel. Cell service is decent. No services. RV waste station available. Nice people at the camp.

“Beautiful!”

Reviewed Mar 20, 2019

Overall Rating

This place is BEAUTIFUL! Our kids loved running up and down the hills and digging in the sand. We stopped here for an overnight on our way to Palm Springs from the San Benito area. When we arrived at 5:30pm we were the only ones there, a couple other overnighters showed up a bit later but it was really quite. Some of the sites are smal... more

“Peaceful. Starry. Serious Sand Flea Issues.”

This is a really lovely dry camping area just off of I-5 near Gorman, California. At 4,100 feet the sky is azure blue and turns at night into a blanket of stars. Peaceful and quiet. Loads of quail and small birds. Beautiful Pyramid Lake is a mile away, although it costs $11 a day extra to access. We camped here the end of September ... more

“What a wonderful little campground not too far off Hwy 5. The price is a steal at $20/nt compared to coastal prices. ”

Overall Rating

This is a wonderful small campground convenient to Hwy 5. Dry camping with plenty of campsites with full sun for solar. Plenty of places to run and there is an ATV area close by. The blocks that outline the campsites can be tight for bigger rigs. There are a few pull through sites and all have fire rings and picnic tables. We did not u... more

“Fantastic”

Reviewed Nov 14, 2017

Overall Rating

Spacious sites but no trees or foliage separating them. The new caretakers (there through the winter 17-18) are fabulous. Fun to hike the hills/mountains right in the campground. Spectacular views, sunsets, and star-gazing!
