How late can you come in on a Friday? We get off work late and have a long drive so we won’t be in until around 11pm

It was narrow but paved the 2 miles from the entrance to the Edison Campground. It’s just a very unlevel dirt ATV staging area with shaded picnic table, fire pit and bathroom. Our 40’ 5er fit but it’s got lots of little gullies and some we couldn’t cross. If it were full it would be impossible to navigate with a large rig. No cell at all back there. No you can’t stay at the visitor center. It will be loud and dusty on weekends and when it’s full. We changed our minds and continued down towards Burbank.

We ended up here by mistake, as Los Alamos Campground was closed due to fire restrictions. It was late"ish" on a Friday afternoon so we headed over here, thinking it would be similar to Jawbone Canyon with dispersed camping. Not so - it was actual fenced camping areas, which was fine - had shade ramadas, picnic tables, toilets (think they were pit) and garbage bins. The problem was the people who rode their off road vehicles until 4:30 am literally 10' - 15' away from our trailer. I finally asked one 14 year old to please go behind the trailer as they were kicking up so much dust and it was coming in our door. I kept moving our chairs (with a string of lights on them) further in front of our trailer to hopefully give the hint to go behind us. They just did not get the hint... then a large party came in late and parked very close to us and continued to party, drink and make a ton of noise until yes, 4:30 am. I'm sure they were all having fun, but that's just not our style. If you are into ATVs and dirtbikes and quads, you will have fun here. If a bit of sleep is important, not so much. PS I rarely complain :)
