Weigand Campground

The drive into Weigand will just make you smile. You feel like your in Colorado instead of Nebraska. I recommend getting a spot on the outside of the loop as the spots are more spread out as well as a great water view. Spots 39 and 41 have amazing trees for hammocks. The spots are beautiful with nice fire rings. The marina is also very nice. Usually they have nice clean showers and restrooms but they are currently closed due to Covid. The regular bathroom is open however. It is pretty buggy here so don’t forget the bug spray or better yet a fogger.

We really loved it here. Many other campgrounds were booked. Able to camp here last minute on a Saturday night. Seems like a hidden gem. Swimming area was a quick walk through a disk golf course from first come first serve tent camping. Clean flush toilets. Quarter showers. Potable water. Picnic tables and fire rings with grills on every site. Ice and wood available through honor system at office. We would absolutely stay here again.
