Lovely park. We were welcomed by a friendly camp host, quail, geese, and peacocks. It was a very warm day so decided to park in an elec/water location (#39).
Showers could use a bit of TLC but hot water and easy to use.
Would definitely stay here again.

We camp out here for the first time with our Campervan. It’s nice and beautiful view. Some sites have hookups and some are not. The bathroom needs improvement or renovation. The main road is across the lake and sometimes we could hear loud vehicles, luckily it’s not really a busy road.

Avoid spot 61, right by exit, no shade and view out our back window was of camp host container-work yard. Very warm at the time we were there (beginning June) but cooled off nicely at night. Decent amount of distance between sites (some, not all). Sites might not be level so be prepared. Water and electric only. 3 camp hosts on site. Gates close at 9pm. Several peacocks roam the property so if their noise disturbs you, camp somewhere else.

The county park is divided in half; one side is the campground, the other side is a very nice day use area. I've been to the day use area many times. Great for kayaking, hiking, nature study, picnicking. There is a nature center on the campground side, though I've never been in it.
At the campground, there was a fair amount of street noise (Hwy 128) but in the evening it really quieted down. There was poison oak on some of the hiking paths; our campsite did not have any.
Campground was very clean; hosts were available and pleasant.
This was our first time to camp here. We wanted a quick getaway; we live only 1/2 hour away. I don't think we'll be back for a short trip but the campground should be fine for overnighters or kayaks. That said, I do have a friend who loves this campground and comes as often as she can.

Hot in the summertime but nice in the shade. Close to Winters and the outlying area. If you want to go fishing it is catch and release only. The grounds are ok, the fire that went through there affected the area and they are working on restoring it. Great place to go boating. However there is a no motor rule so only human power.

Beautiful spot on Putah Creek with lots of trees, a shoreline trail, paved RV site pads with electric and water, dump stations. There are plenty of dry camping sites as well but no generators are allowed. It was winter so my one solar panel wasn’t going to be enough and I opted to plug in. Non-utility sites are $13 for seniors. Dogs are only $1. Forgot to get the non-senior prices. Camp hosts Bill and Libby were very friendly and helpful. It is just a few miles to the town of Winters.
The day use area is right next next to the campground. It has a non-motorized boat launch, many picnic areas and an aerated pond that, at some point, was used for fishing by kids and folks in wheelchairs (might still be during warmer seasons.) There is an area specifically for wading on the creek. There is also a playground there and bathrooms.
I got to see many types of waterfowl and songbirds, a real highlight for me (see below.) Also got a 3:00 a.m. serenade from the coyotes. There is a bit of road noise from across the creek but there are so many positives for this place I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Birds:
Belted Kingfisher, Black Phoebe, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Common Goldeneye, Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser, Mallard, Acorn Woodpecker, Oak Titmouse, Golden Crowned Sparrow, California Scrub Jay, Red Tailed Hawk.

Watchout for the wondering peacocks!
Only downside is you can only stay 14 days between this and its sister park in rio vista (Sandy Beach), then you have to be gone for 30 days to reset. Verizon was touch and go inside rig. Outside it was a solid one bar.

22 is a drive thru. Some back and forth required to find the level section. Some occasional noise from highway just across the tranquil waterway. The site map and road signs could be better.

We tried to stay in the park July 2023 and it was closed. Shame as it looks nice with good access to a lovely river.
