Access was via four lane divided highway from I 4. Interior roads are wide and clear of low hanging branches. The campground is about a three mile ride from the ranger station/ check in. There are three camping loops with back in a pull thru sites. Most are W&E only, there are a few FHU besides camp host sites. Our first site (6) is a back in, very private with foliage on both sides. Easy to back in with good location on the utilities. We moved to site 47. Another back in, easy to access too. Both sites were cleaned, raked and level. We didn’t hear any road noise at 6 but could hear noise from SR 27 at site 47. Our favorite aspect is the wide variety of activities. Boat, bikes and horse trail rides are available along with miles of hiking
One aspect that needs improvement is the dump station. There are two lanes which is great however the far lane has overhanging branches that brush the roof and sides. I’ll plan to use the nearer lane next time. It looked free of overhanging branches.
FYI, a few pull thru sites have utilities between the site and the road. This requires entry from the opposite direction. (Go left at keep right sign).

Surprisingly close to town but you can’t tell it from the campsites.

I didn’t have any issues here and both Verizon and AT&T worked great. The site I was at had water and electric hookups. It was a gravel pull-through, and not quite level, but I didn’t mind. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The campsites are located between two lakes and you can watch the sun rise over one and set over the other. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it—though I don’t know I’d stay in August without AC. It was HOT.

Great quite campground with lots to do and see. Most sites are level and have crushed rock to park on instead of sand. Lots of horse and biking trails. Great for golf cart rides.

Good sized, private pitches. We stayed at site 5 which was close to the bathhouse, camp store and dock over Lake Dixie.
Bathhouse was very clean and well maintained. There are kayaks for hire and a small camp store.
Fantastic sunset over Lake Dixie and a few hiking trails. There’s also a small beach area on Lake Louisa.
