Access is easy off of US 27 though traffic is getting pretty bad due to the continuous build up of the area.
Sites are clean and well maintained and pretty level.
These are *not* FHU, water/electric with a dump station between loops.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #9 in the A loop, an E/W, BI site for $27/night. The roads were asphalt and the sites were primarily gravel. The campground is three miles from the entrance to the park. Most sites are open to the sun, but a few have partial shade. This one is totally open. In addition, it is right along the road so it has absolutely no privacy. The site was very level and you can tell the camp hosts work hard at keeping it cleaned up. The gravel in the picnic table area was raked every time the site turns over. The spacing of the sites was a little closer than some state parks, but not uncomfortable. The bathhouse was clean. The first night there was no hot water in the Loop A bathhouse. I talked to the camp host and the next day the hot water was great so they must have addressed it. It was a fairly quiet park. You could sometimes hear road noise, but it wasn’t really intrusive. Verizon’s signal ranged from 1 bar LTE to 2 bars 5G and I was able to stream video content. No wifi, lots of OTA channels. None of the sites really have great views of the water and none have direct access which is fine considering the possible presence of alligators. They also have cabins if you need other kinds of accommodations. If I came back, I would try to get site 50, 1, 3, or 27. Sites 7, 8, and 30 were ok as well. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night in April of 2023. Our nightly cost includes tax & the reservation fee. After being spoiled at several Georgia State Parks where the sites are lakefront, this one seemed to be a bit pricey for what we got - a basic site in a loop. The sites were long enough & level enough, but the RV behind us was very close. Bathhouse was decent & laundry was available. Hosts were super nice! The tents to rent were very cool! As we were just here for one night, we didn't do any of the trails.

Price is more like $38 a night, after all the add-on charges, taxes, etc. This is a good one!

Beautiful park and great service from the rangers. We had to move camp mid stay because we needed to extend. No issues at all, made the reservation and went out to the ranger station to get a new pass. Very quick, efficient, and clean park! They have everything you need, horse riding, fishing pole rentals, kayaks, a little store to buy ice and snacks, etc. The only downside we can think of is it is not a full hookup. Only water and electricity. The dump station is relatively near the RV sites.

Do not rent the eco or glamping tents here!!
No pamphlet or instruction guide to use the tent supplied as advertised, two huge holes about 8in in diameter in the top of the tent letting in swarms of mosquitoes and bugs, dirty tent w mold and old cob webs, remote to control the lights broken so the lights inside the tent were stuck on all night attracting even more bugs into the huge open holes in the top of the tent, porter potty was disgusting and obviously hadn't been emptied in a very long time, water despenser broken... but the main concern is the SAFETY of the whole set up. The tent is not closed off to the outside WHATSOEVER. No way to seal it across the bottom at all. There is a huge gap in the bottom of the tent that when pulled up reaches about two feet off the ground. The tent we were staying in (#1) is only a few steps from a pond where, since we live in Florida, I'm sure there are alligators and snakes that can easily make their way up and come right into the tent no problem while you are sleeping! So unbelievably unsafe and I can't believe this is going on. Someones kid is going to get eaten by an alligator while they sleep!!
I contacted Arden 4072324585 and she was very unapologetic and didn't seem to think there was any problem. Offered no solution to the problem and only questioned me about the water nossle bc she said it was attached when she was there. I am very upset and feel like I was tricked into a terrible, unsafe situation and was majorly ripped off. Especially after exploring the park and realizing we could have stayed in one of the parks beautiful, huge, SAFE cabins for only around $30 more than what we paid for this rip off tent. Over $100 to get eaten alive by bugs all night in a dirty tent fearing for my two young kids lives bc at any moment any member of Florida's wildlife could have come walking right into our tent. The worst paid experience of my life...Don't waste your $ on this crap and just stay in the state park run cabin instead of this sub contracted business that is running their company w only $ in mind and not quality, customer satisfaction or safety as a priority.
