I reserved my site through Reserve America. Lake Durant is located on Route 28 between Blue Mountain Lake and Indian Lake. I was on site 45 and it's considered on the water but there is a trail to the water. The main road coming in is paved and in good condition. Once entering the main road (past the check in booth) the road is paved, broken pavement and stone. There is one road in and out of the main campground so meeting another vehicle is very possible and there are places along the road that two rigs would not be able to pass each other. There are no hook ups at the site, just a picnic table and a fire ring. There are water spigots along the road in to fill up jugs or your rig. Some sites are very difficult to back into because of trees right across the road from the site that would allow the nose of your tow vehicle to make the swing, especially if your rig is 24 feet or longer. Bathroom facilities are located through out the park as well as outhouses if you really want primitive!! Shower building is near the front of the campground....all facilities worked when I was there and in good shape. There is a beach, hiking trails, picnic area, paddling and the campground does rent kayaks and canoes. Its a nice quiet campground, I did not see a playground and if you have kids on bicycles make sure they watch for vehicles, there are some blind hills on the road through the campground. Cell phone service is almost nothing, out on the lake I could make a call, at my site text wouldn't go through. There is stores in Blue Mountain Lake and Indian Lake......plus a great diner right down the road, Chef Darrels Mountain Diner. Worth a stop.
I did do a campground review on my YouTube Channel, ADK Man

Perfect for paddling a kayak or canoe, the sunset view on the east-west oriented lake is beautiful. Dry camping, no cell service. Potable water spigots throughout the campground, a dump site near the entrance, and conveniently located clean showers and rest rooms. Pay attention to bear sittings and be careful with leaving food out on your site. We did not have bears, but we did see a site with a picnic set up on a table - no people and the chipmunks were having a feast! This is one of our favorite campgrounds in the Adirondacks. Highly recommended getaway.

shady sites encircle the lake. facilities include flush toilets and potable water. NO electricity and NO cell service. There are free boondock sites right across the lake from the campground on the old road.
We were here at the peak of fall colors so the view of Blue Mountain right across the lake from our site was stunning.

Great campground. All paved roads and dirt sites. About 60 sites, some for tents only, but others large enough for bigger units. We were the largest unit here (35 foot class A), but there were several sites that could accommodate us. We were there during the week in late September, so several sites available. Fills up on weekends. “A-loop” to right of entrance has larger sites, but not private at all. Host said we might fit in site 33 and it was definitely worth a try. It was tight coming in, but site widens nicely, so no issues camping with slide outs and awnings. Many trees and cloudy days, so solar use was limited. Generator hours 9-11AM and 4-7 PM only, but even then few people used them. Many lake sites provide kayak access directly to lake. Ramp available near A-loop.
Excellent campground for smaller units and tents. Would not want to go much over 35 ft unless you know what you are doing. Water spouts all around, flush toilets all around and centralized shower house. Fresh water for tank fill and Dumpstation at entrance. No hookups. Poor to no cell service, but were able to use phone and internet with our weboost Drive X RV in our RV. Occasionally you could text without booster.
2 Boondocking sites available across the lake (see map in photos).
