Lake Cody Campground

We stayed here as a last-minute stop, because the Ottawa Metropark was full and the KOA nearby, did not answer the phone and was about to close for the day.. The owners were very friendly. It is mostly full-time seasonal occupants.
There are a few pull-thru sites for transients. They are close together in an open, grassy area with electricity. I believe it had water, but don't recall if it had sewer. It was a peaceful setting for a break from driving, but not a destination.
DO NOT stay here if you need a toilet or shower! The restrooms are old pit toilets that appear to have never been cleaned. The single, unisex shower was terrible (did not even try it). I don't recall any issues with Verizon cell service. I would stop here again, for a quick overnight break, if needed, since we do not stay at Wallmarts.
I might give it a higher rating if they specified the plumbing situation on their website. Most people expect useable restrooms and showers, especially at $40/night. I felt really badly for some campers there, in a tiny trailer.
